METHOD OF PRODUCING LANTHANUM-STABILIZED SILICA AND CATALYST CARRIER BASED ON IT Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

Abstract RU 2099135 C1

FIELD: silica production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lanthanum-stabilized silica preserving great specific area at high temperature, in particular, after 4-h calcination at 1200 C. Provided is also a method of producing this stabilized silica from silica powder prepared via fast dehydration of aluminum hydroxide or oxyhydroxide according to which powder is rehydrated in presence of lanthanum compounds and then submitted to heat treatment. Stabilized silica can be applied as catalyst carrier. EFFECT: increased stability to extent meeting catalyst carrier requirements. 7 cl
