FIELD: railway transport; mechanization of loading and unloading operations; cleaning of gondola cars from conglomerated and frozen remnants of carried materials. SUBSTANCE: prior to beginning of cleaning, gondola cars are sorted according to types of remnants. Two identical dehydrating lines are introduced into technological line on which pulps with coal and inert remnants are separately processed for subsequent use of remnants. Pulp is separated on fixed screen into pulp with particle size greater than 2 mm and less than 2 mm. Pulp with particles exceeding 2 mm is directed into dredger-sump wherefrom is taken by dredger-elevator. Pulp with particles less than 2 mm in size, together with pulp separated on fixed screen containing particles less than 2 mm in size, is directed to clarifier-sludge accumulator. Particles with size less than 2 mm are thickened and directed to belt vacuum filter on which particles with size from 0.05 to 2 mm are united with particles with size exceeding 2 mm and are directed to user. Thin-layer clarifier-sludge accumulator drain water and vacuum filter filtrate are delivered into processing water reservoir and further on by pumps to hydraulic giant nozzles. Processing water containing particles with size less than 0.05 mm and density exceeding 40 kg/m3 is directed by pump from processing water reservoirs into empty reservoir of two carts of closed settlers to settling and forming sludge with particles less than 0.05 mm in size. Previously clarified water from other cart of closed settler is pumped into system, and sludge remaining in cart is delivered by sludge pumps into drain sump in which it is united with particles, sizing 0.05-2 mm, is dehydrated in clarifier-sludge accumulator and belt vacuum filter and is delivered to user.
