FIELD: railway transport; mechanization of load handling operations. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of hydraulic cleaning of gondola cars 3 comes to passing of cars through hydraulic cleaning plant 1 in through direction at speed providing their complete cleaning and to directing front wedge and rear barrier pressure jets onto materials to be broken. Wedge jets are directed at acute angle to gondola car bottom to form wave providing cracking of material mass and its chipping, and barrier jets are directed vertically to form barrier wave intensifying washing off of hydraulic mix of material and water through extreme hatches whose covers are ajar with slot clearance and are held by wire ring and hook. Washed off material is dehydrate on conveyor with sieves, and circulating water is clarified and cleaned for returning into closed cleaning system. Cleaned car is dried by tearing off moisture by flat jets of cold dry air. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and increased efficiency of cleaning. 3 cl, 10 dwg
