RAILWAY VEHICLE BOGIE REPLACING DEVICE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport; repair of cars and replacement of bogies to suit track gauge. SUBSTANCE: device has transborder with two parallel sections of track with pitch equal to pitch of three interrupted approach tracks broken by transborder. It can move square to approach tracks and is arranged in pit. Pit in break of middle approach track has two support beams for car arranged at height lower that car frame at a distance less than width of car, but greater than width of bogies. Transborder has two platforms. Upper one has two track sections and is installed on lower one for lifting through value exceeding height of pivot connecting bogie with car which provides passing of bogie under lower cut of one of two support beams.
