LOOSE MATERIALS CHARGER Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering, road and rail vehicles; charging of loose dusting materials. SUBSTANCE: local suction device prevents getting of dust into atmosphere at variable height of discharged material by means of aspiration system without use of special signalling systems and mechanical devices with electric or other types of drives for tracking charging level. Horizontal plate with flexible hose 1 is rigidly secured to hopper chute. Plate has aspiration holes 6 connected with exhaust fan. Lower portion of hose has light attachment 2 in form of hollow truncated cone or pyramid pointed downwards with smaller base. Slot clearance is formed between rising heap 8 and attachment 2 over perimeter when loading the material, and atmospheric air is sucked in through this slot. Vacuum is built inside hose 1, and lifting force appears on walls of attachment 2. Attachment 2 moves upwards synchronously with rising of heap 8 and compresses flexible hose 1 into bellows. Attachment hovers over heap surface with clearance depending on mass of hose and attachment, height of heap and amount of aspirated air. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
