FIELD: load hoisting devices, particularly rope laying mechanisms for multi-layer rope winding on winch drum. SUBSTANCE: rope laying mechanism has double-threaded screw 1 mounted on support 5 with the aid of brackets 4, guide roller 6 driven by traction rope 7 and adopted to reciprocate due to engagement of dog roller 8 with thread 2 of screw 1 built in bushing 13 of guide roller 6. Guide roller 6 consists of two pairs of disks 10 and 11 seated on bushing 13. Disks 10 of one pair is intended to render support and disks 11 of the other pair are pressure disks. Pressure disks 11 are disposed between disks 10. Disks 11 are spaced from each other at a distance corresponding to the diameter of rope 7 so that slot 12 is formed for vertical movement of rope 7. Drum 3 rotates with constant angular speed. Due to movement of rope 7 in slot 12, guide roller 6 is rotated by rope 7 also with constant angular speed in spite of changing radius of winding of rope 7 on the drum.
