FIELD: seals of shafts of sulfuric acid alkylation reactors. SUBSTANCE: slotted seal 16 is mounted on shaft 1 under end seal 2 and is provided with additional bush 20 engageable with seat 25 by means of valve 24. For dismantling the seal, upper bearing sealing unit is removed from shaft 1 and shaft lowers. As a result, valve 24 of bush 20 gets in contact with seat 25 and shaft 1 is centered and locked in vertical position. Simultaneously, working chamber of craft is sealed up.
