FIELD: gas and oil producing industry; transportation of oils and gas condensates containing hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans. SUBSTANCE: method consists in introducing alkaline reagent neutralizing hydrogen sulfide into flow of oil in pipe line; besides that, aldehyde is introduced into flow and organic amine or ammonia is used as alkaline reagent. Used as aldehyde is formaldehyde or 2-furaldehyde (furfurol) in amount of 1.8-5.0 moles of aldehyde per mole of neutralized hydrogen sulfide. Amount of organic amine or ammonia ranges from 0.9 to 4.0 moles per mole of neutralized hydrogen sulfide. Used preferably as organic amine are ethanolamine, propanolamine, N-dimethyl propylene diamine, methylamine, ethylamine or their mixtures. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process due to increased degree of neutralization of hydrogen sulfide; reduction of corrosion of pipe lines and equipment; reduction of environment pollution; simplification of process. 4 cl, 1 tbl
