FIELD: analysis of stack gases of boiler aggregates and in smoke flues of power-and-heating plants and other installations where gaseous, liquid or solid fuels are burnt. SUBSTANCE: oxygen sensor has sensitive element manufactured in the form of solid electrolyte potentiometric cell with working and comparison electrodes to which emf meter is connected and additional solid electrolyte cell securely joined to potentiometric solid electrolyte cell with the use of dielectric compound. Working electrode of potentiometric cell and one of electrodes of additional cell contact analyzed medium and comparison electrode of potentiometric cell and second electrode of additional cell are placed into internal chamber common for both cells and connected to analyzed medium by capillary having length from 1.0 up to 10.0 cm and internal diameter from 0.1 to 1.9 mm. Electrodes of additional cell are connected to source of energy as follows: plus of source is applied to internal electrode and direct current within limits from 10.0 to 100.0 ma is passed through cell. Electric circuit " SOURCE OF ENERGY - ELECTRODES of additional solid electrolyte cell is inserted with switch changing polarity of source of energy and current meter. Plus of voltage is applied to external electrode of this cell, voltage should not exceed 0.8 V. EFFECT: enhanced functional reliability and efficiency of oxygen sensor. 1 dwg
