FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves setting immunohistochemical reaction using antibodies against trophoblastic beta-1-globulin on tissular slices. Reaction products are taken into account separately member-by-member in normal epithelium like tegmental foveal epithelium, isthmus, bottom and body of glands and in foci of intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia. Reactions are not taken into account in benign tumors notwithstanding the tumor being coupled with carcinoma or not. Possibility to detect trophoblastic beta-1-globulin in isthmus is to be taken into account in cases of various benign diseases or in normal case. Trophoblastic beta-1-globulin is detectable in the other elements of norm (tegmental foveal epithelium, bottom and body of glands) and in foci of intestinal metaplasia and dysplasia only in the cases carcinoma focus is present. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of diagnosis; improved estimation of stomach epithelium state. 6 tbl
