FIELD: cooling of liquids, mainly of drinks in cans or bottles. SUBSTANCE: the vessel for keeping of liquids has a cooler. The latter has an adsorbent for receiving and adsorption under pressure of a certain amount of gas. Desorption of this gas from the adsorbent causes a drop of the temperature of the adsorbent and adsorbate used for liquid cooling. The cooler has a densification means for hermetic sealing of adsorbed gas in the adsorbent and a discharge opening for controlled discharge of adsorbent gas from the adsorbent. The cooler may contain a thin-walled vessel for its direct heat contact with liquid subject to cooling. The vessel has two thin sheets essentially of the same size and shape interconnected on their peripheral edges with formation of a cavity for the adsorbent. The can or bottle may be provided with a means for visual indication of the drink temperature. EFFECT: enhanced simplicity of installation of the cooler in the vessel without changing the construction of the standard container, enhanced efficiency of cooling without any unfavorable influence on the environment. 28 cl, 14 dwg
