FIELD: petrochemistry; production of trans-5,6-dialkyl(aryl, alkenyl)-hept-1-enes which may be used as origin material for manufacturing surfactants and biologically active preparations comprising substituents having trans-orientation; production of paints and varnish. SUBSTANCE: trans-5,6-dialkyl(aryl, alkenyl)hept-1-enes are prepared by interaction of 1-heptene, 1-hexene, 4-vinylcyclohex-1-ene or allyl benzene with dialkyl aluminium chlorides having formula $$$ where R is Et, i-Bu and metal magnesium at their molar ratio 20-22:20-22:10, respectively. The process takes place by mixing within 8 h in the presence of $$$ used as catalyst, (its quantity is 3-5 mol % in respect with metallic magnesium) at room temperature and normal pressure in atmosphere of argon in the medium of tetrahydrofuran. The process is followed by adding of butyl lithium (its quantity is equimolar in respect with $$$), copper monochloride (its quantity being 2-4 mol % in respect with metallic magnesium) and allyl iodide (its quantity being fourfold excess in respect with $$$) which takes place at 0- (-5) C by mixing at room temperature within 5-7 h. Yield of product is up to 74 %. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 1 tbl
