FIELD: knitting equipment. SUBSTANCE: composite needle has rod, hooked head, control device, closer positioned in longitudinal rod slot for sliding and closing hook by its front end. Closer has pivotally connected composite parts. Front part of closer which may be deviated upward is provided with bevel positioned at its front end for engagement with springy hook and having height not exceeding height of needle rod. Receptacle below springy hook has bottom formed as profiled recess for sliding and fixing front part of closer. During engagement, profiled recess bends springy hook into receptacle. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 5 dwg
