FIELD: thermal engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves compression of atmospheric air in turbocompressor, its cooling down by means of low-temperature cooler using intermediate coolant which is, essentially, low-boiling liquified gas circulating over closed intermediate loop between two regenerating porous compact heat exchangers; supercharging air is forced through one of them being cooled down by intermediate coolant; atmospheric air is forced through other heat exchanger to cool down intermediate coolant in it.
