FIELD: mechanical engineering; supercharged internal combustion piston engines with cooling of supercharging air and igniting of charge by separate source. SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, medium and output supercharging equal to πK = 1.5-3 and higher values without knocking in four stroke internal combustion gasoline engines is obtained owing to earlier closing of intake valve (internal cooling, the Miller system). Intake valve according to proposed method is closed earlier than necessary to prevent knocking. Valve is closed earlier than end of intake at an angle smaller than angle at thick knocking appears owing to increase in filling of engine with fresh charge.
