FIELD: treatment of radioactive materials. SUBSTANCE: wastes are irradiated with microwave rays having energy flux density of $$$ J/sq.cm. Decay-constant after such treatment of wastes increases by about 1% compared to decay constant before irradiation. EFFECT: reduced half-decay period of long-living radioactive isotopes.
