FIELD: communication, radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves receiving additive mix of signal and noise, subtraction of compensating noise signal which is detected from mix by means of generation of instantaneous samples in moments when signal in mix is equal to zero and subsequent recovery of analog noise level which follows shape of noise in this mix. This detection of compensating noise signal is provided separately in lower side bandwidth and inverted upper side bandwidth of mix. Corresponding device has antenna 1, mixer 2, heterodyne 3, intermediate frequency amplifier 4 and algebraic adder 10 which provide reception of additive mix of signal and noise and subtraction of compensating noise signal which is detected by means of introduced first and second noise compensating signal detectors 5 and 12 for lower and inverted upper bandwidths. In addition device has first and second delay gates 9 and 16, additional algebraic adder 17, first and second additional mixers 11 and 18, first and second band-pass filters 20 and 21 for lower and upper bandwidths respectively, adder 22 and master oscillator 19.
