SUBSTANCE: exercise apparatus has columns mounted on base and provided with eyelets, double-armed lever secured in one of eyelets in axial alignment with supporting shaft. Toothed sector is fixed on connecting member carrying supporting shaft. Plate spring is positioned on base and its tooth is cooperating with sector teeth. Handle is positioned on longer arm of lever, whose shorter arm is formed as frame. Supporting and pressing shafts are positioned coaxially on frame connecting members. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 8 dwg
