GENERAL-PURPOSE TANK Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; transportation of liquids over broken terrain. SUBSTANCE: tank vessel has filling hole and drain cock. Installed inside the vessel are cover made in the form of disk with sealing ring made of flexible material, mechanism for horizontal displacement of the cover with at least two cramps, and hose for feeding oil under pressure. The left-hand cramp is rigidly secured on the cover and the right one is attached to the inner front part of the vessel. When the tank is filled with liquid not completely, the space between the cramps is filled with oil fed by hose. This makes the cover displace and reduce working volume of the vessel. EFFECT: avoided splashing of transported liquid. 2 dwg
