FIELD: shaft kilns for mineral materials, small-sized limestone in particular by straight-through regenerative method. SUBSTANCE: kiln includes at least two cylindrical shaft equipped with loading devices which are communicated in section of change from roasting zone to cooling zone for passage of waste gases regularly changing their direction. Besides that, shafts are surrounded by common channel in section of change from roasting zone cooling zone. This channel is brought in communication with cavities of shafts. Inner walls of shaft are vertical in cooling zone or are inclined at angle not exceeding 4 deg; holes of shafts are overlapped by loading devices in cooling zone.
