FIELD: meteorology. SUBSTANCE: weather radar has synchronizer, transmitter, calibrated-pulse generator, series-connected antenna provided with angular-position transducer, switch, receiver, analog-to-digital converter, unit for signal averaging for several resolution elements in azimuth and range, adder, threshold unit, as well as recorder; transmitter output is connected to second input of switch whose second output is connected through calibrated-pulse generator to its own third input; synchronizer first output is connected to transmitter input and to second inputs of receiver, switch and calibrated-pulse generator; synchronizer second output is connected to second inputs of analog-to-digital converter, signal averaging unit, adder, and recorder. Novelty is introduction of echo signal and antenna angular position storage unit, as well as computer; first input of storage unit is connected to first output of threshold unit and its output is connected to first input of computer; second output of threshold unit is connected to second input of computer whose third input and second input of storage unit are connected to antenna angular position transducer; computer output is connected to first input of recorder.
