SUBSTANCE: method involves optical sounding of region in which contactless optical mouse and optical emitters attached to mouse are located, generation of real two-dimensional optical picture of sounded space, detection of rotation angles of contactless optical mouse by means of alternation of characteristics of relative positions of projections of optical emitters to flat two-dimensional picture, input of current values of rotation angles of contactless optical mouse as information for controlled object. Corresponding device has contactless optical mouse, optical emitters which are mounted on mouse, stationary transmitting unit which has stationary source of sounding signals, optical scanning system, microprocessor and interface for connection of microprocessor and controlled object.
