FIELD: synchronous electric drives with an asynchronous start. SUBSTANCE: the device uses a rectifier connected to the rotor winding leads, N starting resistors (according to the number of start stages), (N-1) starting thyristors, main thyristor and control units, whose outputs are connected to the thyristors control circuits; the main thyristor and the first starting resistor are cut in between the rectifier leads, the first leads of the other starting resistors are connected to the negative lead of the rectifier, and the second leads - to the cathodes of the respective starting thyristors, whose anodes are connected to the rectifier positive lead; the supply circuits of each control unit are connected to the tap of the staring resistor of the previous stage.
