FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: crude vegetable oil is heated to temperature 60 C higher than temperature at which non-oil dense part is coagulated and 15-50% activator is added in the form of 0.4-2.6% aqueous solution of alkali or alkali-earth metal salts and sugars. Components are agitated for 5-50 min, mixture is settled down for 3-25 h and separated into liquid (oil) and dense (sediment) phases. Oil is sorted into food and non-food quality products, the latter being processed into drying oil by adding 1.5-2.5 wt % of activator in the form of alkali and/or alkali-earth metal salts, whereas sediment is supplemented with antioxidant and antiseptic to be utilized as animal feed additive. Installation contains crude vegetable oil separation chamber in the form of tank with conical bottom provided with heating jacket communicating with atmosphere through valves, heat carrier source, e.g. water, and drainage tank. Separation chamber is connected with crude vegetable oil source, activator dispenser, settled oil collector, and sediment collector. EFFECT: achieved system utilization of vegetable material. 23 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl
