FIELD: food- processing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves heating vegetable oil sludge; introducing heated coagulate therein; mixing and providing gravitational separation of resultant mixture into oil layer and raw oil particle layer (decantate); decanting oil; heating oil foots to temperature below protein coagulation temperature and heating coagulate introduced therein to temperature higher than protein coagulation temperature, with weight of coagulate introduced being below weight of raw oil particles available in oil foots and temperature of coagulate being at level providing temperature of final mixture not grater than protein coagulation temperature; providing contacting of coagulate with raw oil material particles by mixing thereof; upon gravitational separation of mixture into upper oil layer and lower decantate layer, decanting oil from upper layer through filter and/or centrifuge into storage- accumulating tank. Decantate of lower layer is used as filler. Apparatus has oil foots vessel provided with heater and connected through locking valve and pump to coagulate vessel. Oil foots vessel is separated from ambient medium by heat insulator and is furnished, apart from main bottom, with internal bottom formed as truncated cone mounted with its top base oriented downward. Internal bottom generatrix is inclined at an angle of 5-50 deg to horizontal plane, diameter of its base is equal to diameter of carrier bottom of vessel, and diameter of truncated cone top part is equal to diameter of vessel discharge opening. EFFECT: improved quality of oil produced from oil foots and decantate, wider range of products obtained from decantate, and reduced power consumption. 22 cl, 1 dwg
