FIELD: metallurgy, loading of charge into blast furnace by trough charging gear. SUBSTANCE: inert gas is fed to equalize and somewhat exceed pressure in trough charging gear and inert gas is additionally fed in the course of all time portion of charge is lowered into blast furnace till lower gate is completely closed. In this case flow rate of inert gas fed into blast furnace is maintained in volume exceeding volume of charge replaced by it by 15% to form plug under lower gate of charging gear to prevent penetration of blast furnace gas from furnace into charging gear. EFFECT: improved efficiency.
