METHOD FOR CREATING CULTIVATED LAWN Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural technology. SUBSTANCE: this relates to creation of cultivated lawn used for sports, decorative, soil-protection and other purposes. According to method, prepared is soil vegetation mixture which is kept in fellow, watered, then fertilizer is introduced, weeds are removed, mixture of seeds is prepared, sowing is performed, grass is mowed. Process is follows. Prepared soil vegetation mixture is screened and loaded in containers with sliding-out bottom having calibrated holes. Placed on container bottom is layer of sand and containers are installed on preliminarily prepared sloping ground. At growing of sod strips in containers, performed is entire technological cycle of care up to full readiness of sod. Before transporting to lawn creation site, sod strips in containers are covered with layer of damp saw-dust at grass side and sod surface is slightly moistened. Ready sod is unloaded directly at lawn site, bottom of each container is drawn-out and sod strips are arranged on base ground or drain system. Sod strips are carefully levelled in height, tightly joined to each other and joints between them are filled with soil vegetation mixture. EFFECT: high efficiency. 5 cl, 2 dwg
