FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is intended for preventing getting of young fish into water intakes. Fish-protection structure has water-dividing dike located against water intake, and water-passing section located ahead of water intake at angle to dike. This section together with upwater and downwater dikes create enclosed water area. Created between water-passing section and dike is transit channel narrowing in flow direction. Water-passing section is made double-level of surface and subwater screens with water-intake hole created between them. Section is secured by its one end to general load-carrying structure immersed in water to depth which exceeds thickness of ice cover and displace in vertical slots is supporting piers. Load-bearing structure is provided with pivotally attached floats having shields at pressure side. Attached to screens by one end are fish-branching troughs. Trough of bottom screen is mounted on load-bearing structure. Trough of surface screen is installed on supporting structure and has L-shaped apron. Surface screen is located within limits of zone inscribed within isosceles triangle and its base is ridge of water-dividing dike and its opposite angle is not less than 90 deg. Structure ensures protection of young fish sliding down in water-intake operation zone. EFFECT: high efficiency. 4 dwg
