FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and can be used to protect sea water intake of thermal or nuclear power plant from ingress of fish, bottom sediments, as well as its waste warm waters. In transit alongshore channel 2, formed by water intake 3 taken out into water body 1, equipped with fish protection device 6 and connected to power plant 4 by underground water supply pipeline 5, dam 9 is arranged, by means of which the coastal warm-water part 10, into which warm water discharge path 7 is laid, is separated from remote cold-water part 11, in which there is water intake 3 with a fish protection device 6, redirecting intra-water current 13 with the formation of additional alongshore current 16 along its slope remote from the coast, providing step-by-step mixing of waste flow of warm waters 15, first with natural 14, and then with artificially created additional 16 alongshore currents, and reducing temperature of waste water to safe level of thermal effect on operation of power plant 4 and viability of fish fauna, wherein dam 9 slope remote from shore is made of large-size substrate 12 used by fish as safe habitat.
EFFECT: reduction of negative effect of warm waste water on power plant and water biological resources of water reservoir.
