FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking control and case samples, adding corresponding reagent into the samples, supplying sounding current to the control and case solutions in trapezoid pulse bursts with measuring cycle duration being from 5 to 100 s and burst on-off time ratio being from 10% to 90%. Electric conductivity of the control and case solutions are compared. The device has cycle generator 1, unit 2 for shaping trapezoid pulse bursts, sounding current pulse generator 3, cycles counter unit 4, electric conductivity gage 5 and current amplifier of gage 6, all placed in outside casing and combined into probe 7, detector 8, differential amplifier 9 with analog memory cells being tracking-memory circuit 10, initial conditions storage circuit 11 and comparator 12.
