FIELD: nuclear physics, nuclear technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear fuel in form of salt melt, which can be used in some designs of liquid-salt reactors. Nuclear reactor apparatus includes an active reactor zone comprising a nuclear fissionable fuel salt containing at least 0.01 mol. % UCl4. Fuel salt has a melting point of less than 800 °C and content of uranium in it is approximately 61 wt. % and heat exchanger intended for heat transfer from fuel salt to cooling agent.
EFFECT: invention enables to reduce corrosion of reactor components.
