FIELD: storage of agricultural products and other biological objects of animal and plant nature in gaseous medium. SUBSTANCE: method involves blowing container with agricultural product through by nitrogen-oxygen mixture so that air is completely displaced from container, with oxygen concentration not exceeding maximum allowable value for standard gaseous mixtures (not in excess of 13%); closing container; controlling O2 content in container by means of sensor during storage; pumping gaseous mixture out of container, when concentration of oxygen approximates minimum allowable value for standard gaseous mixture (about 3%), to establish predetermined pressure within container; supplying air from environment by pressure difference till pressure in container reaches the value equal to ambient pressure value of Pk = Ph, and at the same time reducing CO2 concentration and increasing O2 concentration to required value; regulating content of gaseous mixture in similar way except for nitrogen-oxygen mixture blowing procedure.
