FIELD: agricultural equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has flame-type heat source 1, steam-generator housing 2, tank 6 from which water is supplied through pipeline 4 into steam generator. Valve 5 is mounted on pipeline 4. Ignition chamber 7 with emitter 8 is built in steam generator housing 2. Baffle 9 is positioned at outlet end of combustion chamber 7. Flame-type heat source 1 heats tubular emitter 8 facilitating water heating and steam release. Steam is directed through steam pipe 15 and supplied via nozzle 14 to soil and top parts of plant for protective treatment. EFFECT: increased efficiency in protecting plants from pests and diseases, simplified method and improved environment control. 2 dwg
