FIELD: medicine; prosthetics. SUBSTANCE: prosthesis comprises carrying module made in the form of two resilient curved plate-like supports extending in sagittal plane. Supports are made of high-strength layered plastic. Both supports or at least one of them are made elongate and have their top attached to receiving sleeve by means of adjusting/connecting device, and they are interconnected in talocrural region. Below this region supports are spaced apart forward and backward to act as supporting portions of patient's foot. Each of these plate-like supports along its entire length and widthwise is constituted by plurality of individual strips or bands, cross-sectional axis of which has orthogonally variable orientation in talocrural region to suit peak inertia moment. Adjusting/connecting device is made in the form of cylindrically shaped coupling unit carrying on its external surface rigid belts intended to secure adjusting elements and elements for fixing strips along generatrix line of coupling unit which axial ends are provided with flexible tabs adapted to compensate shifts of coupling unit in relation to sleeve. Connection in talocrural region is made in the form of locking device which body consists of two separate constituent members. Prosthesis also comprises overlaying ridges and its profile matches external surface and underlaying ridges braced together across strips. Prosthesis also has shock-absorbing sleeve made of rubber and metal and constrained in space defined by surfaces of overlaying ridges. Supporting portions of constituent strips are embedded in foot in cavity coated by built-in, foot-reinforcing and perforated belt. The latter envelopes strips as continuous tape which is interrupted at top and has clearances along front and rear edges of strips. EFFECT: improved design. 7 dwg
