FIELD: power metallurgy, in particular, methods for production of composite powders and their compositions. SUBSTANCE: powder is intended, mainly, for deposition by spraying and presents particles consisting of core based on high-melting compound and shell. Core consists of titanium nitride and shall consists of layers of the following composition: Ti(N1-xOx)1,0, where x= 0.10-0.15; Ti(N1-xOx)0,85, where x=0.10-0.20; TiO0,15+xNx, where x=0.25-0.30; TiO1,10+xNx, where x=0.05-0.10. Method for production of clad powder of the composition includes treatment of powder in plasma jet in gas-air jet with jet power of 20-46 kVA. Composition of clad powder provides for hard microhardness considerably reduced specific consumption of materials in the process due to self-cladding of titanium nitride and exclusion of additional use of metal in the process as cladding element.
