FIELD: transport engineering; front and rear hydraulic and hydropneumatic shock absorbers for passenger cars. SUBSTANCE: shock absorber has hydraulic cylinder, piston with operating rod provided with axial hole, regulating system and reservoir. Additional regulating rod is installed for axial travels in through axial stepped hole of operating rod. Lower portion of indicated rod engages with piston, and upper portion, with threaded surface of hole of operating rod. Rigidity control system is installed between upper end face of piston with bypass valve plate and lower end face of operating rod. Rigidity control system includes plate spring placed inside coil spring whose length in compressed state does not exceed height of compressed plate spring, and length in free state is 1.5-2 times greater than height of plate spring in free state. EFFECT: improved efficiency and reliability of shock absorber with car riding along roads with different degrees of irregularity of pavement. 3 dwg
