FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing acetylene carbon black, fluorocarbon containing 60-67% fluorine and graphite fluorooxide of the formula Cx•ZCyO•nH2O•CF where: X = 1.5-12; y = 2.2-2.5; Z = 0.5-1.4; n = 0.1-0.5 (mass ratio = (8-12):1) and impact mechanical treatment up to preparing value of filling density 1.0-1.5 g/cm3. Then binding agent (fluoroplastic suspension) is added, cathode is formed and subjected for thermic treatment at 150-350 C. Properties: mass electric capacity of cathode is above 500 mA x h/g, volume energy capacity is above 1600 W x h/kg, current discharge density is up to 0.75 mA/cm2, mean discharge voltage is 2.58-2.73 V.
