FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: preparation of technetium metal from industrial concentrates of potassium pertechnetate in water consists in dissolving potassium pertechnetate batches in water, ion-exchange purification of solution on cationite in H form to produce technetic acid filtrate, neutralization of technetic acid by ammonia, evaporation of solution, precipitation of ammonium pertechnetate, and reduction of the latter into metal. Process is conducted in cycling mode, and every second potassium pertechnetate batch is dissolved in technetic acid-containing filtrate from preceding step. EFFECT: optimized process. 1 tbl
