FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: engine housing is made in form of flat cylindrical split box on outer surface of which opposite piston cylinders are uniformly spaced over circumference along diametric axes. Pistons of cylinders have twin rods connected by cross link in half of all operating cylinders in one cycle. Links move in bearings in guide slots of housing end face walls. Member is hinge connected to rod and to swinging bushing on extension of one of cylinder rods, bushing being installed for movement on engine shaft. One of rods of other half of cylinders being in antiphase is hinge coupled with other member. These members belonging to two sets of adjacent cylinders are hinge-secured on swinging bushing. Roller is fitted in middle part of each cylinder link. Roller engages with multicam rotor fixed on shaft. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 cl, 2 dwg
