FIELD: electrical engineering; balancing flexible rotors on high-speed facilities. SUBSTANCE: method depends on rotor mass correction to minimize loads on its supports and rotor strain throughout entire range of operating speeds followed by rotor disassembly and reassembly as part of unit. Prior to mounting rotor on balancing facility and reassembling it dimensions of its parts are stabilized due to their rotation at speed higher than maximum operating value this being followed by treatment of seating surfaces. Then minimal mounting strains of rotor are attained by selecting relative position of parts due to their turning on shaft. After that, fits of parts are stabilized and mounting strains of rotor are varied by its overhauling. After rotor is installed on balancing facility, fits of parts carrying working loads are stabilized due to cyclic tests of rotor within operating speed range; after high-speed balancing, permissible loads on supports and permissible strains of rotor are verified by overhauling the rotor followed by its testing on balancing facility in operating speed range. EFFECT: improved balancing of rotor parts.
