ELASTODAMPING SUPPORT FOR ROTOR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: supports provided with antifriction bearings for flexible rotors of turbopump units of liquid-propellant engines. SUBSTANCE: support includes housing 11, ball bearings 2 and 3, bush 6 mounted on outer race of bearing, cover 17 and retainers of bush and damper plates. Bush 6 is provided with plate damper 8 mounted on its outer surface. Bush is also provided with circular fins 12 and 13 on side of end faces of damper. One fin is mounted at clearance 14 relative to housing of support. Retainers are mounted on fins of bush separately for plates of damper and bush. Number of retainers is no less than two; they are evenly distributed over circle. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 2 dwg
