FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: lawn mower has electric engines and at least one drive wheel. Electric engines are connected with drive wheels and cutter systems. Electronic control system has microprocessor with memory for storing lawn mower control algorithms. Power is supplied to lawn mower from rechargeable battery and/or photoelectroplating elements. Electronic control system controls state of battery and/or intensity of solar energy to provide working or nonworking mode of operation of lawn mower. Moisture content of grass to be mown is controlled and, depending on data obtained, cutter system parameters are regulated. Lawn mower may be controlled by signals delivered from related detectors, which detect presence and/or lawn boundaries along which wires may be extended. Low power consumption allows lawn mower to be used even at low solar energy. EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced power consumption and enhanced reliability in operation. 21 cl, 15 dwg
