FIELD: hard-facing technology. SUBSTANCE: this can be used in manufacture and repair of bimetal articles of liner-type for unwinder of plate rolling mill and other articles subjected to rolling friction. Prior to hard-facing operation, article is fastened to work table by at least two clamps at each end side and by at least one clamp at long side of article. Blank for hard-facing is of 1.15-1.20 length as to final length of article and of 1.3-1.5 width as to width of article. Hard-facing is initiated from end edge with current of 220-240 A. Seam is made over long side of article. After hard-facing of 31-50% of article, welding current is reduced down to 195-205 A and is left unchanged at applying subsequent weld seams. Overlapping of adjacent seams is not over 20%. Hard-facing process is effected by plasma-powder method with alloy of determined composition. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
