FIELD: cleaning means. SUBSTANCE: attention of invention is focused on cleaning and dehydrating means containing no organohalogen solvents. Cleaning means for metallic surface, ceramics, and plastics contains silicon-containing organic compound - at least one low-molecular polyorganosiloxane selected from the group including straight-chain polydiorganosiloxane with general formula $$$ (I) where $$$ is monovalent hydrocarbon group optionally substituted by the same or other group, l=0-5, and cyclic polydiorganosiloxane with general formula $$$ (II) where $$$ is as above and m=3-7. Cleaning means may additionally contain (i) polyorganosiloxane with polyoxyalkylene group containing at least one siloxy group $$$ (III) where $$$ is alkyl or phenyl; $$$ is $$$- alkylene, $$$-$$$-hydroxypropyleneoxyalylene, or $$$- polymetyleneoxyalkylene group; $$$ $$$-alkylene; $$$ hydrogen or monovalent hydrocarbon group; and n any integer; (ii) a surfactant; and (iii) water. In another embodiment of invention, cleaning means contains 100 weight parts of above-named polyorganosiloxane with polyoxyalkylene group containing at least one siloxy group III and 10- 1000 weight parts of a surfactant, the two components being diluted with 40-99.5 wt % water.
