FIELD: fuel systems for delivery of metered amount of fuel to internal combustion engine. SUBSTANCE: method consists in cycle operation of pump, delivery of fuel to meter regulated by processor followed by delivery of required portion of fuel by meter. Innovation of invention consists in intermittent operation of pump controlled by processor to keep pressure of fuel in preset limits. These limits are set in such way that pump delivers fuel during each cycle in amount exceeding multiple of maximum measured portion of fuel delivered by meter. Pressure of fuel in meter is measured and signal characterizing the measured pressure is introduced in processor. Invention includes description of fuel system used for realization of this method.
