FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; control of fuel-air ratio in mixture. SUBSTANCE: first amount of fuel required for operating cycle of engine depending on existing operating conditions is found, and then amount of air to be fed to provide required fuel-air ratio is determined. Then actual air delivery is found and amount of fuel is regulated to provide ratio of components of fuel-air mixture within preset limits. In electronic engine control system use can be made of multivariate chart with preset ratios of fuel-air components in mixture depending on speed and engine load. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation. 11 cl, 3 dwg
