FIELD: space engineering; acceleration of space vehicles by means of engine discharging charged particle flux. SUBSTANCE: flux of charged particles from engine is directed at angle of 70 to 90 deg to lines of space magnetic field with whose help flux is turned optimally through angle of 180 deg, after which it is entrapped by perception unit of space vehicle and is returned to engine where flux is additionally accelerated compensating for losses of energy and mass in turn and then repeated efflux is set at the same angle. Perception unit is located at distance from engine equal to diameter of arc of turn of particle flux by space magnetic field. Flux of plasma charged particles consists of electron and ion beams whose velocity and energy differ considerably providing for appearance and maintenance of current in ion-isothermal plasma. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 4 cl, 1 dwg
