FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises diffuser, work chamber, confuser and device to feed work medium into chamber. Engine incorporates plasma-ion generator, device arranged around said chamber to generate alternating magnetic field and nuclear impulse subcritical reactor. The latter is connected with neutron accumulator and neutron cascade multiplier and communicates with electric current circular generator representing a hollow ring that makes a power module. Reactor is connected also to work medium ionisers and, via the latter, with external source of said medium. Work medium sources communicate via work medium fee channels with charged particle accelerator.

EFFECT: higher specific power-to-weight ratio and efficiency.
