FIELD: mechanical dewatering of sediments of municipal, domestic, natural, agricultural and industrial sewage. SUBSTANCE: belt filter press uses a frame and a drive roll, squeeze and supporting rolls, with endless filter belts passed between them, tension mechanism installed on the frame. The tension mechanism is made as a platform hinge-joined to the frame and located in width of the filter belts before the squeeze rolls. The free end of the platform carries a load. The platform is positioned on the filter belts by means of a system of freely rotating rollers located in staggered rows. The load is made as a vessel filled with process material. The vessel is furnished with a pipe connection and filled with working liquid. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 3 dwg
