SUBSTANCE: proposed gear has float mechanically coupled to movement transducer which output is connected to input of voltage-to-current converter. Vertical bar joined to float carries n electrodes of various lengths connected to controlling inputs of current keys commutating current to input of summing amplifier which output is output of gear and unambiguously corresponds to thickness of layer of foam in chamber of floatation machine.
